You must enter the stock level that denotes a product as being out of stock in the “Qty for Item’s Status to Become Out of Stock” column.
In the “Minimum Qty Allowed in Shopping Cart” section, click the “Add Minimum Qty” button.

Enter the default “Minimum Quantity” for the group’s members after choosing the customer group.

Enter the stock level that will cause a message to be sent if a product drops below the cutoff point in the “Notify for Quantity Below” section.
Set “Enable Qty Increments” to Yes if you intend to offer packaged goods, and then enter the quantity that will be sold as a package in the “Qty Increments” section.

If the product’s quantity is specified with decimal accuracy, check the box next to “Qty Uses Decimals” and click “Yes.”
If the goods may be sent in separate boxes, check the box next to “Can be split into Multiple Boxes for Shipping” and set it to “Yes.”
If you don’t want to accept backorders when a product is out of stock, set the “Backorders” field to “No Backorders,” “Allow Qty Below 0,” or “Allow Qty Below 0 and Notify Customer.” If you do want to accept backorders when the quantity is below zero and let customers know that they can still place an order, set the “Allow Qty Below 0” field to “Allow Qty Below 0.”
In the “Notify for Quantity Below” column, choose the stock level at which a message will be issued if a product falls below the cutoff.
If you wish to sell products that are packed in multiples, choose “Yes” for the “Enable Qty Increments” setting. In the “Qty Increments” section, enter the total number of the packaged goods.

Stock Availability options

You have two options for the “Stock Availability” option:

Set it to “In Stock” to make the product available for purchase, or to “Out of Stock” to make it unavailable for purchase unless backorders are permitted.
Once you’re done, click the “Save” button.
If an item is bought, Magento’s stock option setting can help remove it from stock; if an order is cancelled, it can help return the item. The stock option can also decide whether or not the out-of-stock items are added to the catalogue.

Setup the stock options

Do the following to setup the stock options:
